Seneca cross country runners competed at the Diamond Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 24.
In the junior high division, Evanston St. Clair placed second with a time of 10:05.
Joshua Hicks finished in fifth place with a time of 10:38, with Alex Campbell directly following in sixth place in 10:48.
Caleb Garcia took ninth place with a time of 11:02, and Silas Hauser finished in 16th place in 12:20.
Gave Thomas got 26th place with a time of 13:27 with Trevor Combes earning 28th place with a time of 14:19.
Seneca received first place as a team in the boys junior high division. K’le Wilson, junior high girls, finished in 13th place with a time of 17:08.
“Coach Kline and I are super proud of how our junior high team peaked at the right time of the season. They went out and had a great race. Great way to end the season,” said John Wydick, Seneca cross country coach.
“Our cross country future looks really bright with these kids. Garcia and Hicks will jump to the high school level next year and we expect immediate contributions from them,” said Wydick.
