Seneca’s seventh grade boys football team defeated Cassville 26-8 on Saturday, Sept. 24.

Dillon Myers had three touchdown runs totaling 48 yards and he successfully completed a two-point conversion on a run after a touchdown.

Zane Cotton had one successful touchdown with 23 yards and also earned “Hit of the Week” honors for the game.

The eighth grade team did just as well, drubbing Cassville 24-18.

Kale Schrader had two touchdowns, a 60 yard punt returned and a 30-yard touchdown pass to Kyle Simpson.

Trey Wilson had two touchdowns, a 41-yard halfback pass to Monty Mailes, and he also blocked a punt and recovered it in the end-zone for a touchdown.

Monty Mailes earned “Hit of the Week” honors for the game.

“I was very pleased with both our seventh and eighth grade teams winning their games. Both teams had a lot of adversity but they played through it and got the win,” said Chris Fortner, Seneca Junior High head football coach.
