Seneca High School will celebrate its 2017 Wrestling Homecoming on Thursday, Jan. 19, when the Indians will take on the Monett Cubs at the SHS gym.

Coronation of the homecoming queen will be at about 6:30 p.m., give or take a few minutes, in the gym.

Homecoming queen candidates are:

Marissa Beale

• Age: 18.

• Grade: Senior.

• Parents: David and Rhonda Beale.

• Activities/organizations: Wrestling manager, golf, FCA, NHS, Key Club, Heritage Club, STUCO and Pep Club. Attends Racine Christian Church and the Seneca Church of Christ.

• Accomplishments: Three-year academic letter winner in academics and color guard, two years in band and golf, and one year in Student Council.

• Favorite high school memory: From the gold tournaments and wrestling tournaments, to the many friendships I have made, it is too hard to pick just one favorite memory.

Tess Hultman

• Age: 17.

• Grade: Senior.

• Parents: Paul and Cricket Hultman.

• Activities/organizations: Varsity cheerleading, Key Club, Art Club, and baseball manager.

• Accomplishments: Varsity cheer captain, back-to-back state cheerleading champion, and All-State Cheerleader.

• Favorite high school memory: When Coach Hodge stopped calling me “Tess the Mess” and started calling me “Tess the Best.”

Tamara Smith

• Age: 17.

• Grade: Senior.

• Parents: Tony and Rachelle Smith.

• Activities/organizations: FCCLA and wrestling manager

since seventh grade.

• Accomplishments: I’m a manager of a state wrestling team, 3x district champs, and state runner-up team 2014-2015. I also volunteer at the heart walk.

• Favorite high school memory: Being a part of the state wrestling 2015-16 champions. Finding out we had won state was an amazing feeling.

Homecoming queen attendants:

Courtney Clark

• Age: 16.

• Grade: Junior.

• Parents: Scott and Libby Clark.

• Activities/organizations: Varsity cheerleading and Key Club.

• Accomplishments: 3x All-American Cheerleader and back-to-back cheerleading state champion.

• Favorite high school memory: When Tess, Kayleigh, and I performed our alternative hip-hop dance in our hula skirts at cheer camp, because the actual dance was too hard.

Rachel Prince

• Age: 16.

• Grade: Sophomore.

• Parents: Jamie Prince, Sandy Prince.

• Activities/organizations: Pep Club, Spanish Club.

• Accomplishments: Being the sophomore wrestling attendant.

• Favorite high school memory: Football homecoming night 2016.

Chloe Spencer

• Age: 15.

• Grade: Freshman.

• Parents: Meada and Ian Spencer.

• Activities/organizations: Cheer, volleyball, and shooting guns.

• Accomplishments: Destination imagination regional, state and global winner. Won regional and state championship in volleyball when playing for Carl Junction.

• Favorite high school memory: The week of my first football homecoming in high school.
