Homecoming Queen Candidates
Senior Proctor Lankford is the daughter of Jamie and Terry Lankford. She is the boys basketball manager, co-president of Book Club, and a member of Heritage Club, Drama Club, NHS, Spanish Club, Show Choir, Tri-M, JSA, FCCLA, concert choir, and golf.
Lankford plans to attend either the University of Kansas or the University of Missouri-Kansas City and major in music therapy. She would like to obtain her Master’s degree and work with disabled children.
She said her favorite memory is from this year in anatomy when she was studying wrist bones with Nicki Mae, Mikaylin, and Elizabeth.
“We were using one of the skeleton hands when Nicki Mae picked it up and the wires holding it together snapped, causing all of the hand bones to fall apart onto the table,” said Lankford.
“We tried to put it back together, but ended up putting the pinky on sideways and the thumb on backwards. When Mr. Yust saw it, all he could say was, ‘You broke my hand.’”
Senior Carly Reeves is the daughter of Scott Reeves and Tina Hicks. She is involved in golf, Drama Club, Heritage Club, Spanish Club, JSA, Pep Club, and National Honor Society.
Reeves is planning to attend Ole Miss and travel the world after graduation. Most of her favorite memories involve golf, whether it was Katie Griffin rapping the McDonald’s order or Kyndal tripping in Taco Bell.
She said being a member of the golf team has given her enough memories to last a lifetime.
Senior Elena Wood is the daughter of Scott Wood and Tracy Wood. She is a member of the basketball team, Pep Club, wood shop, FFA, FCCLA, and Art Club. She plans to attend college, major in sports medicine and therapy, and become a physical therapist.
Wood said her favorite memory is when she was sitting on the bench talking to Willow, and Coach suddenly grabbed Willow and told her to get in. It shocked Willow and she fell, but she rushed to get up and get to the scoreboard.
“I was prepared just in case I was going to be next!” said Wood.
