Seneca FCCLA students attend state leadership conference

On Oct. 18-19 four members of Seneca High School’s FCCLA (Family Career and Community Leaders of America) traveled to Osage Beach for the annual Missouri State Fall Leadership Conference at Tan-Tar-A Resort.

On the way up the students picnicked and hiked at Ha Ha Tonka State Park in Camdenton before the conference began. The theme of the conference was “See Us Shine.” FCCLA is the co-curricular student organization affiliated with Family and Consumer Sciences education and is the only in-school student organization with the family as its focus.

Seneca students attending included: Rachel Hymer (Seneca FCCLA President and Missouri Region 11 Regional Vice-President of Community Service); Sierra Roper (Seneca FCCLA Vice-President and Missouri Region 11 Regional Vice-President of Public Relations); Emily Steele (Seneca FCCLA Vice-President of Membership); and Alex Sherwood.
