The 2017 Trail of Lights in Twin Bridges State Park, in Wyan- dotte, Okla., is now open from 6-9 p.m. nightly until Dec. 30.
There are 35 brightly-lit holiday displays, sponsored by area busi- nesses and companies, for people to enjoy at the annual drive-thru event.
To get there from Neosho or Seneca, take Highway 60 west to Twin Bridges State Park, then turn right (between the two bridges) and go up the steep hill.
The entrance to the light display is about a quarter-mile down the road, on the left.
About 59,000 visitors drove through the light display last year and the park is hoping for the same num- ber if not more this year.
“We have two new displays this year, but the rest are repeating,” said Trinda Crow, Twin Bridges Park Part- ners principal officer.
Carolers, free photos and train rides are available to amp up the festivities. Santa Claus will also make an ap- pearance on select nights, and free hot dogs and drinks will occasionally be available.
Santa will be there on Saturday, Dec. 9 and 16, from 6-9 p.m. and on
Dec. 9 park officials will have an 80th year anniversary party for the park.
“This is the 80th birthday of the park and we are offering birthday cup- cakes to the first 144 people in line on Dec. 9,” said Crow.
Kids can also drop off their letters to Santa at the entrance of the park.
Admission is free, but donations are appreciated to keep the light display and Twin Bridges running each year.
