The Crowder Construction Technology program is in the process of completing two cabins that will be sold to the highest bidder at a live auction on May 15.
Viewing of the cabins will be available April 15-May 12 between the hours of 8 a.m. and 3 p.m., or for an appointment call (417)455-5596.
The cabins will be sold during a live auction at 1 p.m. Monday, May 15, at the Crowder Technical Education Center. Bob Lasswell and Associates will perform the live auction service.
Cabins are 11 feet by 24 feet with amenities including a full kitchen, bath with shower, sleeping area (approx. 100 sq. ft.), and washer/dryer hook-up. Built on 6×6 skids for full mobility.
The Construction Technology program consists of framing, roofing, plumbing, electrical and finish work. Students in this program built the cabin while experiencing these trades. The class is taught by Andy McClain.
This program is part of the Crowder Technical Education Center which is comprised of high school students from Neosho, McDonald County, Seneca, East Newton, and Diamond.
Minimum bid on the cabin is $12,000.
