Bargain hunters and treasure seekers from all over, mark your calendars! The 28th Annual Missouri’s Largest Garage Sale in Neosho is scheduled for Friday and Saturday, April 8-9.
The two-day event will begin at 7 a.m. each day and will be held regardless of the weather, rain or shine. The event is coordinated with the Neosho School District’s calendar for transportation concerns.
According to the Neosho Area Chamber of Commerce, last year over 300 families held garage sales during the event.
“This event historically brings thousands to Neosho. Last year we had people calling from all over the country inquiring about the dates. There was a couple who made the trek from North Carolina to come see what treasures they could find here,” said Ashley Siler, Chamber event coordinator.
“In most areas around town, it is park and walk because of the number of sales. A few of the main residential streets and two sub-divisions will be designated one-way to control the traffic. We’ve estimated that the size of our town is nearly doubled on that day.
“It’s a great event, not only for the people of Neosho, but for the thousands who come in search of bargains. We’re proud to be the host of Missouri’s Largest Garage Sale.”
